Treasurer

I am Linda Bergman and currently hold the position of Treasurer for the Clayton Township Democratic Club.

I have been active in our Township since March 2017. I was appointmented Vice President at that time, and have been active on the Executive Board to plan meetings and speakers, attempts to increase participation, organize voting, work on campaigns, and fill in for the President in his absence.

Since Jim Loomis stepped down as President, I was appointed as Treasurer and have been vigorous in cleaning up our financial records and filing regular reports with the Ethics Commission. I remain active on the Executive Board and consistently schedule and plan monthly meetings for the club.

For continuity on the Executive Board and to maintain our finances, I request your vote.

Social Media/Publicity

My name is Kim Gamel and I am a life-long Democrat dedicated to promoting Democratic ideals and getting more Democrats elected to local office. I am proudly Pro Choice, pro common-sense gun law, and a fighter for civil/equal rights.

Like many, my foray into politics began after the 2016 election. Since that time I served as an organizer of the first Women’s March in St. Louis; co-founded CountHER Movement, a group of progressive women; became a member of the NWPCstl’s Policy Council; helped organize the Fair Maps 5K to benefit Clean Missouri; and led communications efforts for Jill Schupp’s Senatorial campaign.

Prior to my grassroots political involvement, I spent 20+ years in leadership positions in marketing communications, and in 2010 started my own small business.

Through my demonstrated commitment to Democratic principles and my ability to motivate others, I believe I would make a strong addition to the Clayton Township Democrats.

President

My name is Melanie Thompson, and I currently hold the position of President for the Clayton Township Democratic Club. I will focus on growing membership, setting up committees and recruiting volunteers for the 2020 election year.  I will continue to grow the website to be a interactive, one stop tool for Clayton Township voters to connect with their elected officials on the local, state, and national level.

I am an activist at heart, and will be encouraging feet on the street activism to engage voters throughout the township. I cannot do it alone, however, and will need volunteers from throughout the township to take on the task or making sure we are victorious in the coming election cycle.

It is my intention to clean up, organize and lead us to an active and growing Township, then turn over the Presidency to a new leader after 2021.  I firmly believe in rotation of service, it drives growth.

Secretary

My name is Cyd Rohlfing-Dodson, and I currently hold the position of Secretary for the Clayton Township Democratic Club.
